Chapter One – Down the Rabbit Hole
Alice is feeling bored and drowsy while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister who is reading a book with no pictures or conversations. She then notices a talking, clothed White Rabbit with a pocket watch run past. She follows it down a rabbit hole when suddenly she falls a long way to a curious hall with many locked doors of all sizes. She finds a small key to a door too small for her to fit through, but through it she sees an attractive garden. She then discovers a bottle on a table labelled "DRINK ME," the contents of which cause her to shrink too small to reach the key which she has left on the table. She eats a cake with "EAT ME" written on it in currants as the chapter closes.

一天,悶悶不樂的愛麗絲跟姊姊同坐於河畔。忽見一隻古怪的白兔走過──牠穿戴打扮,手持懷錶,自言自語,行色匆匆。好奇的愛麗絲跟著牠跑,跳進兔子洞裡去。這個洞簡直是個深淵,過了很久,愛麗絲終於著地。她驚覺自己身處奇怪的大廳,四周儘是大大小小的門,而所有門都被上了鎖。她撿到一條門匙,卻僅能開啟一道小門。由於這道門實在太小了,她只能望過去,卻發現那邊有個標緻的花園。她把門匙放在桌上,並在大廳別處找到一瓶寫著「飲我」的飲料。愛麗絲不由分說把它喝完,發現自己縮小了,當能穿過小門,卻拿不回桌上的門匙。慌亂之際,她撿到一件寫著「吃我」的蛋糕。這一次,愛麗絲吃掉它後竟又急速變大,大得連頭頂也貼著天花板了。

Composer
Eclectic composer-pianist Erik Griswold fuses experimental, jazz and world music traditions to create works of striking originality. Specializing in prepared piano, percussion and toy instruments, he has created a musical universe all his own that is "sincere" (neural.it), "playful" (igloo magazine), "colourful and refreshingly unpretentious" (Paris Transatlantic).
A current recipient of the prestigious Australia Council Fellowship in Music, Griswold has received grants and awards from the Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Queensland, Brisbane City Council, Melbourne City Council, Asialink Foundation, Queensland Music Festival, Melbourne Jazz Fringe Festival, Civitella Ranieri Foundation, and the InterArts Consortium of the University of California.
